and well worth watching,
but i'm too lazy
to make all the titles into links,

American Movie
With the help of his mother and his 82-year old uncle, amateur filmmaker Mark Borchardt fights his way through internal and external roadblocks to achieve his goal--to make his movie, his way. His inspiration comes from films like Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Seventh Seal, as well as his experiences growing up amidst the grey skies, rusty cars, and ranch houses of Milwaukee's Northwest side. From Chris Smith, director of the recent documentary about WTO pranksters, The Yes Men.
The Devil’s Playground
Rumspringa: the Amish rite of passage which begins when child turns 16, and continues until they decide whether or not they want to join or leave the Amish church. Lucy Walker follows several teenagers through rumspringa as they leave to explore what they call the "English World" and the adults call the "Devil's Playground." Faron, the son of an Amish preacher, finds an “English” girlfriend and gets addicted to crystal meth… will he return to join the church?
Fahrenheit 9/11
In the most provocative film of the year, Academy Award-winner Michael Moore presents a searing examination of the role played by greed and oil in the wake of the tragic events of 9/11.

Haven’t you ever wondered if their really are people living in the tunnels beneath New York City? Well, here they are in all their creepy, mind-bending glory.
Pumping Iron
From Gold's Gym in Brooklyn to the showdown in Pretoria, amateur and professional bodybuilders prepare for the 1975 Mr. Universe contest in this part-scripted, part-documentary film. Introduced Arnold Schwarzenegger (five-time Mr. Olympia champ) and Lou Ferrigno (a shy, deaf young upstart) to the world in their epic battle for weightlifting supremacy.
Rivers and Tides: Andy Goldsworthy Working with Time
Scottish artist Andy Goldsworthy “builds elaborate installation pieces out of Mother Nature’s flotsam and jetsam in its own natural habitat (open fields, seashores, riverbanks). He spends hours altering the landscape or working his elemental materials into man-made paths and patterns. A finished work can last for as long as a few days or as short as a minute before a light breeze or an eddying tide picks it apart like carrion... German documentarian Thomas Riedelshiemer’s affectionate, awestruck look at the man and his mission to tap into a frequency of symmetrical order in terra firma’s chaos is as hypnotically dazzling as his subject’s abstract expressionist products.
Sherman’s March
Ross McElwee sets out to make a documentary about the lingering effects of General Sherman's march of destruction through the South during the Civil War, but is continually sidetracked by women who come and go in his life, his recurring dreams of nuclear holocaust, and Burt Reynolds.
Winged Migration
An awe-inspiring documentary of birds migrating through 40 countries and every continent was captured using planes, gliders, helicopters and balloons, allowing the filmmakers a spectacularly intimate look at their subjects. From Academy Award-nominated Director Jacques Perrin.
